Like closing your eyes and listening to the gentle and cyclical movement of the ocean breakers, the effect of affirmative prayer is a relaxed and energized body and clear and focused mind.

I realize that there are those who do not believe in God as a Divine Presence and who do not even like using the name. This is okay. You can call God by whatever form God shows up for you – be it Love, or Wisdom, or Life, or other forms of divine expression.

To anchor the mind in the heart is to feel a presence and power that stills the thoughts, and renders a fresh experience of the Truth. This is because there is an intelligence of the heart that is greater than the thinking intellect.
